Sarah H. Orye, Managing Partner

Sarah is a results-oriented Conference and Events professional with over twelve years of international and domestic experience in both the for profit and non-profit sectors. International experience includes programs in China, India, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Domestic experience includes hundreds of educational, client relations and incentive programs across the United States. Sarah has had the opportunity to serve clients in various industries with a focus on Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Legal, Media/Entertainment, IT/Software, Higher Education and Government Agencies.

Her career as a planner started just after 9/11 when she was tasked by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to organize a memorial service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York for members killed in the 9/11 attacks. From there she transitioned into the legal industry and joined the Hildebrandt Institute where she planned several conferences and roundtables bringing together the Managing Partners of top U.S. law firms.

With a strong desire to work internationally, Sarah found her way to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (PhRMA), where she focused on meetings and events in Asia and Latin America. While working on a pharmaceutical event for high-level delegates in Brazil she impressed a professor from Georgetown University, who asked her to help build the Creative & Innovative Economy Center (CIEC).  The CIEC was founded in 2006 at George Washington University’s Law School.  At the CIEC she served as the Education Director and forged relationships with several government entities (domestic and international), trade associations, fortune 500 companies and universities. Programs included the annual World Intellectual Property Day on Capitol Hill co-hosted with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Judicial Training for Middle Eastern and North African judges, and a conference with the Ugandan Government including President Museveni to create a national strategy for intellectual property rights.

After moving to New York, Sarah worked as the Conference & Events Manager at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, an international law firm. She partnered with Practice Group Leaders to develop, market and direct international and domestic events including conferences, seminars, workshops, professional development programs and special events. In just over 18 months she managed more than 150 programs across 13 offices globally. In April 2012, Sarah began her consulting career by launching Conventus LLC.  In addition to her Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland she also holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in International Management from the University of Maryland University College. In her free time Sarah serves on the Hoboken Homeless Shelter Board and as a Deacon at Redeemer Hoboken Church.

Joshua W. Orye, Managing Partner

Josh OryeJosh is an experienced corporate executive who has  spent the last 7 years consulting and leading corporations through process improvements to enhance marketing, strategic planning and revenue growth.

While working for Honeywell Josh spearheaded strategic marketing, pricing and new product development across 30+ business units.  He improved strategic marketing acumen and pricing analysis across multiple industries while implementing a system to manage the new product pipeline of a $5B company.  He left Honeywell to work for Catalent, a $2B pharmaceutical company, where he currently directs the implementation of best-in-class pricing processes globally across 20 pharmaceutical sites on 5 continents.

Josh earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.  In his spare time, he currently serves as a Redeemer Hoboken Church Deacon and Condo Association President.



Elizabeth M. Orye, Manager

Liz comes to the event planning business after spending most of her career in fundraising. Her industry experience was developed in both the corporate and non-profit sectors.

Previously, Liz held the position of Director of the Annual Fund at William & Mary Law School, as well as positions at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund (US), and an executive search firm specializing in high-level higher education positions.

At William & Mary, Liz solicited gifts, coordinated giving & stewardship efforts and developed strong relationships with alumni. She also took her first steps into the event planning world, developing and hosting intimate alumni gatherings as well as contributing to large scale events. While at the executive search firm, Liz organized and coordinated interview weekends for many elite US Colleges and Universities. At the Diana Fund, a grant-making foundation benefitting at-risk youth, Liz worked closely with Board members and grantees throughout the complex review, selection & awards process.

Most recently, Liz has served as founding Board Member, Treasurer and Fundraising Director for a non-profit organization benefiting underprivileged elementary school aged children in the Philadelphia Area. She shares Sarah’s passion for bringing professionals together in innovative ways. Liz received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia.
